Busan Office of Education and Good Neighbors International Join Hands to Foster Global Citizens

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and Good Neighbors International have joined hands to support the growth of children and adolescents as global citizens.


On the morning of the 31st, at 10 a.m., the Busan Office of Education signed a "Memorandum of Understanding for Fostering Global Leaders and Healthy Global Citizens" with Good Neighbors International in the first conference room of the education office.


The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Jung-gon, Secretary General of Good Neighbors International, Kwon Min-jung, Head of the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Headquarters, and other officials.


This agreement is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and aims to protect the rights of children and adolescents and support their growth into global citizens with sharing and character.

According to the agreement, the two organizations will provide opportunities to participate in character and global citizenship education and mutually cooperate in operating educational projects for healthy youth with global competencies.


They agreed to collaborate on various projects including ▲global citizenship education ▲school violence prevention education ▲sharing and character education ▲support for children from crisis families ▲research.


Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “This agreement will be a good opportunity to recognize and jointly solve global community issues based on the Sustainable Development Goals,” adding, “Our education office will continue to cooperate with Good Neighbors International to create a better world.”
