The eSIM service launched by BMW Korea earlier this month in collaboration with the three major domestic telecom companies allows the use of mobile data by utilizing an embedded identification chip in the vehicle without a separate physical chip. To enjoy various content on the BMW Theater Screen, the rear-seat infotainment system of the new 7 Series released in Korea last December, wireless data from a telecom provider is required, and this is where the vehicle eSIM service is necessary.

The BMW Theater Screen, which comes standard in the new BMW 7 Series, is a 31.3-inch panoramic display with a 32:9 aspect ratio that unfolds from the ceiling. It supports up to 8K resolution and has built-in online video service (OTT) platforms such as Netflix and YouTube, allowing direct operation without connecting any external devices.
