Notae Moon, President of Samsung Electronics' MX Division, stated that foldable phones have become the mainstream in the smartphone market. He also evaluated the global sales of the Galaxy S23 series as showing positive results.
On the 31st, Samsung Electronics Malaysia Newsroom reported that President Noh made these remarks during a press conference with local media while visiting Vietnam for a recent meeting with partners.

President Noh said, "Form factor innovations like foldable phones enrich the entire smartphone ecosystem and will continue to redefine the limits of mobile devices," adding, "As foldable phones gain popularity worldwide, Samsung has made foldables mainstream." Recently, the foldable phone market is expanding with Google launching the 'Pixel Fold.' Samsung Electronics is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 5 in July.
Regarding the Galaxy S23 series released earlier this year, he stated that despite the global economic downturn, the series achieved positive sales performance. He explained that this was the result of mobile innovation features developed based on consumer feedback and app optimization through collaboration with global partners.
President Noh also said that Samsung Electronics is striving to provide new experiences to consumers not only through hardware innovation but also in software and artificial intelligence (AI). He said, "We have enhanced the multi-device experience so that Galaxy devices can connect better with appliances like TV lines, air conditioners, and refrigerators," adding, "The Galaxy ecosystem is one of the major strengths that differentiate us from competitors."
