On the morning of the 31st at around 6:41 AM, Seoul City mistakenly issued an 'emergency disaster alert' message, prompting criticism from Kim Han-kyu, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, who called it "amateur administration."
On the same day, Kim stated on his social media (SNS), "They gave a morning call with a disaster alert from the morning, then suddenly said it was not true."
He pointed out, "There was not even any information in the disaster alert about why it was a disaster or where to evacuate," adding, "At the time the disaster alert was sent, there was breaking news that North Korea had launched a missile, so many people must have been anxious."
Kim said, "Amateur administration is the disaster," and added, "There is no difference between the Yoon Seok-yeol government and the Oh Se-hoon Seoul City administration."
On the same day, Seoul City sent an emergency disaster message stating, "At 6:42 AM, a warning alert was issued for the Seoul area. Citizens are advised to prepare for evacuation and ensure that children and the elderly can evacuate first," but the Ministry of the Interior and Safety clarified that it was a "false alarm."
