Children's Safety Practices in Dongdaemun-gu

Making Child Safety a Daily Habit! Creating a Disaster Escape Safety Camp

Disaster Escape Safety Camp for Children Held in May, the Month of Family

Enhancing Children's Safety Awareness and Knowledge through Experiential Safety Education in Daily Life

Children's Safety Practices in Dongdaemun-gu Lee Pil-hyung, mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, is teaching children participating in the disaster escape safety camp how to use a fire extinguisher.

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held a 'Disaster Escape Safety Camp' on the 30th in the multipurpose auditorium on the 2nd floor of the district office for local children in celebration of May, the Month of Family.

At the 'Disaster Escape Safety Camp,' six safety experience booths were set up and operated, including ▲fire extinguisher usage ▲CPR experience ▲3D traffic safety ▲health center health experience, providing hands-on safety education to help children develop crisis response skills for safety accidents.

Additionally, a life safety musical performance tailored to the perspective of 6-7-year-old children, featuring characters and stories, was presented as a musical-style puppet show that conveyed safety accident response methods to children in an easy and fun way.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “Safety can never be emphasized enough. Safety knowledge repeatedly learned from an early age enables quick response in emergencies, greatly helping children protect their own and their neighbors' lives. We will provide regular safety education opportunities so that children can naturally acquire crisis response skills.”
