On the 30th, the Inno-Biz Association announced that it signed a business agreement with the Small and Medium Venture Business Certification Institute at the association's office located in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, to support the introduction of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and strengthen competitiveness for association member companies.
This agreement was newly established to support the enhancement of capabilities and resolution of difficulties faced by member companies adopting ESG management by utilizing the accumulated expertise of both organizations based on an organic cooperative system between the association and the certification institute.
The main contents of the business agreement include ▲ comprehensive cooperation on ESG management level diagnosis and evaluation, ISO certification, and education ▲ cooperation to support ESG management expansion for association member companies ▲ cooperation to support ISO certification for association member companies ▲ and educational services for association member companies.
Following the signing of the business agreement, the certification institute plans to support ESG management level diagnosis and related education for association member companies and also provide discounts on ISO certification audit fees.
Im Byung-hoon, president of the Inno-Biz Association, stated, “Given the conditions of small and medium enterprises, it is not easy to respond to the spreading atmosphere of ESG. We will spare no effort to support the linkage of the certification institute’s related expertise to ensure the early establishment of ESG management, which will become the new normal determining the survival of companies in the future.”
The association is the managing institution of the Inno-Biz system, which refers to technology-innovative small and medium enterprises certified by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Inno-Biz companies have grown into an innovative group of companies responsible for the backbone of the Korean economy. The certification institute was established in 1995 as a certification and evaluation organization under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, fully funded by the Small and Medium Business Corporation, and provides services such as ISO management system certification, ESG management level diagnosis, and ISO certification auditor training courses.
