220 People Sharing Leader Relay Campaign
Gong Young-min, the former governor of Goheung County, Jeonnam, announced on May 26 that he joined the ‘220 Sharing Leaders Relay Campaign’ organized by the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea as the ‘Goheung Sharing Leader No. 1.’
The ‘220 Sharing Leaders Relay Campaign’ conducted by the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea is a fundraising project aimed at honoring donors who lead the culture of sharing and encouraging participation from local figures. The campaign runs for seven months from November 1 to May 30.
Governor Gong Young-min said, “Sharing is the hope for the future and the love that brightens the world,” adding, “I will strive to practice love for neighbors through continuous sharing for those in need and support efforts to create a happier world through sharing.”
Following Gong Young-min as Goheung Sharing Leader No. 1, Kim Hyun-joo, CEO of the agricultural corporation Farm En Builder, was named Sharing Leader No. 2.
CEO Kim Hyun-joo stated, “Giving and sharing make the giver happier than the receiver,” and added, “I wanted to contribute even a little to the spread of sharing and donation culture.”
Sharing Leaders pledge to donate 1 million KRW within one year and carry out their donations. The funds are used for the ‘Our Neighborhood Welfare Mobile Unit Project,’ which alleviates daily inconveniences of socially vulnerable groups in the Jeonnam region and supports households in crisis.
