In June 2020, 'Geomam Station Royal Park City,' South Korea's first 5th generation high-end resort city, successfully attracted over 87,000 applicants, the highest number in Incheon, and has now completed a successful lighting ceremony ahead of its move-in scheduled for the end of June, according to DK Asia, the project developer. Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, comfortable living infrastructure has become an essential factor, and as the reality of the once doubted resort city was revealed, interest has reached its peak.

The lighting ceremony took place on the evening of the 27th (Saturday) from 8 PM for about an hour. Despite the rainy and inclement weather, the event proceeded smoothly with thorough safety measures in place.

The ceremony officially began with a grand and colorful percussion performance featuring traditional Korean drums, Hwapoongmu dance, and flags. This was followed by a greeting from announcer Lee Ji-ae, and popular singer Park Ki-young took the stage to passionately perform various songs including 'Nella Fantasia,' setting the mood. The finale of the event was marked by multicolored fireworks soaring up to 200 meters high, illuminating the night sky over the Ara Waterway and bringing the lighting ceremony to a spectacular close.

The highlight of the event, the lighting itself, featured a countdown followed by the simultaneous illumination of all 25 buildings in Complex 1 and Complex 2, creating a magnificent spectacle. Not only the interiors of the 4,805 apartment units but also the outdoor community areas were lit up, producing a fantastic scene.

Kim Hyo-jong, Vice President and CEO of DK Asia, said, “Following the pre-move-in inspections, the successful completion of this lighting ceremony amid enthusiastic interest confirmed the high expectations and attention toward South Korea’s first 5th generation high-end apartments that embody nature, culture, and emotion.” He added, “Next, in October, the first phase of the Resort Special City in Korea will be unveiled through post-sale, with Wanggil Station Royal Park City, the first pilot complex of Resort City Season 2 comprising a total of 21,000 units. With Daewoo Construction, Korea’s top construction company, handling construction and Samsung C&T’s Resort Division leading landscaping and landscape design, we will repay with an even larger scale and more perfect quality.”

Meanwhile, during the three-day pre-move-in inspection of Geomam Station Royal Park City held from May 12, prospective buyers and industry insiders who had been skeptical about the resort city concept were amazed as they experienced the grandeur of the resort city firsthand. The lifestyle culture of enjoying a pleasant natural environment within the green spaces of the complex has taken root following the COVID-19 pandemic, further increasing demand. On an online real estate community, more than 90 posts about the 5th generation high-end apartments embodying nature, culture, and emotion were published, with views exceeding 237,000, receiving enthusiastic reviews both online and offline.
