Cho was selected as the final candidate for Woori Bank president on the 26th, receiving high marks for his corporate finance capabilities. Since joining the Commercial Bank in 1992, he has held positions such as branch manager of Woori Bank Sangil Station Branch, head of corporate branches at the head office corporate sales division, head of the large corporate credit department, head of the Gangbuk sales division, and executive vice president of the corporate group, making him a 'corporate sales expert.'
He also expressed his commitment to organizational culture innovation. He emphasized, "I will support the organizational culture innovation promoted by Lim Jong-ryong, chairman of Woori Financial Group, and make Woori Bank a bank loved by the public."
He will officially take office as president after approval at the shareholders' meeting on July 3. He will soon begin work reporting and start preparations for his inauguration. As his first schedule after being nominated, he attended a meeting on the 29th between Chairman Lim and the presidential candidates. This meeting was directly proposed by Chairman Lim, where congratulations for Cho's nomination and encouragement for the candidates participating in the president selection program were exchanged.
