KT, Recruiting Companies for Startup Incubation Program Participation and Office Space Residency

KT announced on the 30th that it is recruiting promising ventures and startups to participate in the 2nd KT Bridge Lab program and to move into the startup support space.

Marking its 2nd year in 2023, the '2023 KT Bridge Lab' is KT's flagship open innovation program that discovers ventures and startups capable of collaborating with KT's business initiatives and provides focused support for business cooperation between KT and the selected startups. Among the companies selected in the 1st year last year, collaboration was achieved with MeiAI in planning and discovering innovative products for GigaEyes. With OneLoop, a convenient meeting room reservation system was introduced and applied through a mobile access key-based reservation solution.

In this Bridge Lab program, in-house open innovation supporters will be deployed to act as intermediaries between KT business departments and startups, as well as facilitators (communication leaders) for successful proof of concept (PoC) projects. The facilitating method applies KT’s unique communication and collaboration platform called ‘1Deung Workshop’. The in-house open innovation supporters were selected for the first time this year from KT employees, underwent a one-week training course, and will begin full-scale activities starting in July.

The selection of resident companies targets venture startups that are currently collaborating with KT or have high potential for business cooperation. Final selection will be made through document and interview evaluations. Selected companies can use office space free of charge for up to three years and will also receive support for business cooperation opportunities with KT. By next month, a single-digit number of resident companies will be selected through evaluation. Residency will be available starting in July.
