The government warned North Korea to immediately withdraw its illegal launch plan after it announced plans to launch a satellite between 0:00 on the 31st of this month and 0:00 on the 11th of next month.
On the 29th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a spokesperson's statement saying, "We strongly warn North Korea for threatening peace in the region with provocations," and emphasized, "If they ultimately proceed with the launch, they must bear the corresponding consequences and suffering."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out, "North Korea's so-called 'satellite launch' is a serious violation of the UN Security Council resolutions prohibiting any launches using ballistic missile technology, and it is a clear illegal act that cannot be justified under any pretext."
North Korea notified the Japanese government on the same day of its plan to launch a satellite between 0:00 on the 31st of this month and 0:00 on the 11th of next month. Accordingly, the first military reconnaissance satellite launch, which North Korea has announced, has officially entered the 'countdown' phase.
