It has been revealed that the person who purchased Mesenapolis in Mapo-gu, Seoul at the highest price last year is singer Lim Young-woong.

According to multiple media outlets on the 28th, Lim Young-woong bought the penthouse of Mesenapolis in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on September 30th last year. Mesenapolis is a residential-commercial complex apartment consisting of three buildings ranging from 7 basement floors to a maximum of 39 floors above ground, with exclusive areas of 122 to 244㎡, totaling 617 households. It received its usage approval in July 2012.

According to the certified copy of the register, Lim Young-woong purchased this apartment for 5.1 billion KRW, and since there is no separate mortgage registered, it appears that the purchase was made entirely in cash. The previous transaction price of this apartment was 3.38 billion KRW (January 2019), so Lim bought the apartment at a price 1.72 billion KRW higher, setting a new record price. The exclusive area of the apartment Lim purchased is 223.31㎡.

Recently, broadcaster Haha mentioned on a TV program, "Lim Young-woong lives in our apartment," adding, "Isn't Lim Young-woong the pride of Mapo-gu?" Additionally, a five-episode solo reality entertainment program featuring Lim Young-woong is currently airing on a major broadcast network, raising expectations for the reveal of his new residence.

Known as the "Tower Palace of Gangbuk" and the "Celebrity Apartment," Mesenapolis is located in an ultra-prime area near Hapjeong Station, a transfer station between subway lines 2 and 6. It offers various resident services such as housekeeping, parcel delivery, and a guest house, and boasts ironclad security with sensors detecting unauthorized entry from the parking lot to inside the home. Famous entertainment companies are located nearby in Mangwon-dong, Seogyo-dong, and Seongsan-dong, and many celebrities and entertainment agency executives have resided here. Lim Young-woong's agency, Mulgogi Company, is also located in Mangwon-dong.
