The Anyangcheon 100-ri Road project is set to be launched in earnest.
The Geumcheon Cultural Foundation (CEO Oh Jin-yi) announced that the cultural project ‘Anyangcheon 100-ri Road, MuMuMu (無舞Move)’, jointly promoted with the Gwangmyeong Cultural Foundation and Anyang Cultural Foundation, has been finally selected in the ‘Inter-regional Linkage and Cooperation Project’ contest hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The three institutions selected in this contest, organized by the National Federation of Regional Cultural Foundations, will receive a total project fund of 100 million KRW to strengthen inter-regional connectivity and carry out cultural projects for local residents.
‘Anyangcheon 100-ri Road, MuMuMu (無舞Move)’ is a project that takes place along Anyangcheon, which passes through Seoul’s Geumcheon-gu, Gyeonggi’s Gwangmyeong, and Gyeonggi’s Anyang (無 boundaries), where anyone can dance together (together 舞) and create diverse movements full of vitality through culture (Move).
The first event will be held on May 30 at the ‘Anyangcheon Ssanggaeul Cultural Plaza (located in Anyang-si)’, the starting point of Anyangcheon’s tributary, featuring a business agreement ceremony among the three cultural foundations along with a performance.
Following this, in alignment with the Culture Day weeks in August and October, the project plans to promote ▲ ‘Anyangcheon Research’ involving the three regions of Geumcheon, Gwangmyeong, and Anyang (June) ▲ ‘Urban Forum’ linked with the Anyangcheon Ecology Story Hall (August) ▲ and ‘Anyangcheon MuMu (舞舞) Parade’, where citizens from the three regions interact and create together through dance (October).
Oh Jin-yi, CEO of the Geumcheon Cultural Foundation, stated, “We will strive to make Anyangcheon a representative cultural landmark of the metropolitan area through this cooperative project.”
