Lotte e-commerce has been striving to create an employment environment where men and women can work equally in various aspects and to establish flexible working conditions. In particular, it operates flexible work and leave systems to support the balance between work and family. A hybrid work system combining office work and telecommuting is regularly implemented, and parents with children in the first grade of elementary school are allowed up to one year of leave separate from parental leave, with full telecommuting available if necessary.
Leave systems to protect maternity during childbirth and childcare, as well as paternity leave rights for male employees, are also being expanded. In addition to the statutory parental leave provided at childbirth, additional parental leave and child care leave are offered for one year each, allowing up to three years of leave per child. Two additional paid leave days are provided for expectant mothers preparing for pregnancy. The company operates a mandatory parental leave system for male employees, with a usage rate exceeding 90% in 2022, and fully supports the regular wage for the first month of parental leave.
A Lotte e-commerce official stated, “We plan to design various policies and systems to continue growing into a company where employees want to work.”
