On Physical Fitness Test Day, 'Submitting Medical Certificates' and Attending Radio Public Recording
Insiders Say "Absurd"... Calls for Investigation
Controversy has erupted online after an interview with a female police officer who attended a live radio audience without taking the physical fitness test. Despite Police Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun issuing emergency alerts amid recent repeated scandals involving police sexual misconduct, problems continue to arise in various places, leading to criticism that organizational discipline has deteriorated excessively.
On the 28th, an online community, FM Korea, posted an article titled "The person who attended the terrifying Cultwo Show audience."
The post shared an actual interview recording from the "Escape at Two O'clock Cultwo Show" on May 26 and an anonymous post on the workplace app Blind, presumed to be written by a police officer. According to the post, on the 26th, a female police officer submitted a medical certificate and did not participate in the physical fitness test but attended the live radio audience of the Escape at Two O'clock Cultwo Show. The Blind post has since been deleted.
The host introduced a female police officer, saying, "Today is the day for the company's physical fitness test, but she submitted a medical certificate and came to the audience." When asked, "What kind of company requires a physical fitness test?" the female officer replied, "Police officer."
Then the host asked, "Is it okay for a police officer to lie and submit a fake medical certificate and still come here?" The officer laughed heartily and said, "I am a little sick."
Regarding this, a post titled "Is it true that a female police officer took sick leave yesterday and attended the Cultwo Show audience?" was uploaded on Blind.
The post, presumed to be written by a police officer, stated, "I was stunned listening to the radio live," and added, "The class of proudly declaring on a radio broadcast listened to by the entire nation that she is a police officer, submitting a medical certificate, and bragging about coming to watch the Cultwo Show."
Comments poured in with criticism such as, "Not only did she get a false medical certificate to be exempted from the physical fitness test, but she also took sick leave and rested while attending the audience. This requires an investigation," and "This has crossed the line."
