The Presidential Office announced on the 27th that it has published a photo book capturing President Yoon Seok-yeol's activities over the past year to commemorate the first anniversary of the Yoon administration.
The photo book titled "A Journey Started with the People" contains 115 photos of President Yoon from the past year. The Presidential Office explained that the photos were selected mainly from moments of President Yoon's important activities that were not disclosed to the media.
Kim Eun-hye, Chief of Public Relations, introduced, "The title was chosen with the intention of reflecting on the past year, which would have been impossible without the people's choice and participation, and the path we will continue to create together."
Chief Kim said, "Since taking office, President Yoon's journey has been a process of rebuilding a broken nation and setting the Republic of Korea back on the right track," adding, "We will share the fleeting moments of the president who has worked to elevate national dignity and national interests with more people and use them as a milestone toward a better Korea."
The cover of the book features a photo from the 'Conversation with the President' held last February. At that time, President Yoon met with about 150 public officials, including around 70 from the MZ generation, and conducted a Q&A session.
The book also includes images from President Yoon's overseas trips such as the NATO summit in July last year, the UN General Assembly in September last year, and visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Davos, Switzerland, in January this year.
Moments from U.S. President Joe Biden's visit to Korea in May last year and President Yoon's state visit to the United States last month are also included. It also features President Yoon inviting and encouraging the national soccer team players who advanced to the round of 16 after the Qatar World Cup last year at the Blue House State Guest House.
The Presidential Office plans to place the photo book in major public institutions such as the National Library of Korea and post selected contents on its website, YouTube, and social media platforms.
