7% Discount on 5 Billion Won Worth of Jongno Sarang Gift Certificates Issued

From 10 a.m. on June 1, available for purchase through 5 mobile apps including Seoul Pay+, T-money Pay

Jongno-gu (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) will issue an additional 5 billion KRW worth of Jongno Love Gift Certificates on June 1.

The district has decided to fully fund and issue additional mobile gift certificates called ‘Jongno Love Gift Certificates’ that can be used at affiliated stores within the region to ease household burdens during the high inflation period and to alleviate the management difficulties of small business owners.

Previously, in January during the Lunar New Year holiday, 9 billion KRW worth of Jongno Love Gift Certificates were sold and received positive responses. It is expected that this issuance will also be highly popular among residents and local community members who have been eagerly awaiting the gift certificates.

Purchases can be made from 10 a.m. on June 1 through five mobile apps: Seoul Pay+, T-money Pay, Shinhan SOL, Moneytree, and Shinhan Play. Individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW per month at a 7% discounted price.

The certificates can be used at any Seoul Pay affiliated store within Jongno-gu, and a 30% income tax deduction benefit is also provided during year-end tax settlement.

The usage period is 5 years from the date of purchase, and full refunds are available upon cancellation. If more than 60% has been used, refunds will be given for the amount excluding the discount support fund.
