Russia, Ukraine Hit by Airstrikes Again... 1 Dead, Over 20 Injured

Kyiv Experiences 13th Air Raid This Month

Russia carried out nighttime airstrikes on Kyiv and various parts of Ukraine, resulting in one death and over 20 injuries at a hospital, multiple foreign media reported on the 26th (local time).

From 10 PM the previous night until 5 AM the next morning, 17 missiles and 31 drones were launched toward Ukraine. It is reported that 10 of the missiles, 23 Iranian-made Shahed suicide drones, and 2 reconnaissance drones were intercepted.

The attacks were concentrated in Kyiv, as well as the central Dnipropetrovsk, eastern Donetsk, and northeastern Kharkiv regions. In Dnipro city, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a hospital was hit by a missile attack. The city authorities stated that one person died and 23 were injured, including two children.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a video online showing smoke rising from the hospital building. President Zelensky said, "Russia has once again confirmed that they are terrorists."

According to Kyiv city authorities, this was the 13th nighttime airstrike on Kyiv this month.

Ukrainian military officials told foreign media that unlike the winter airstrikes that began in October last year targeting energy and other infrastructure, the recent airstrikes are believed to be aimed at disrupting Ukraine's preparations for counterattacks.
