The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) is organizing disaster prevention and relief activities by establishing branches in major regions nationwide.

Hope Bridge announced that it opened the Gyeonggi Northern Branch on the 26th, following branches in Gyeongbuk, Incheon, and Gwangju-Jeonnam. On the 8th of next month, branches in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do will be opened, and subsequently, three more branches will be established in Gyeonggi Southern, Chungcheong, and Gangwon regions, solidifying bases in eight regions across the country.

Earlier, on February, branch managers and branch chiefs were appointed in five regions, each being prominent figures. ▲Nam Kwon-hee, Branch Manager of Gyeonggi Northern Branch (15th-16th President of the Army ROTC Alumni Association) ▲Han Jang-hee, Branch Manager of Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch (Emeritus Professor, Department of Business Administration, Chonnam National University) ▲Kim Sang-hyun, Branch Manager of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Branch (Professor, Department of Business Administration, Yeungnam University) ▲Park Jong-hee, Branch Manager of Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch (Emeritus Professor, College of Business Administration, Ulsan University) ▲Moon Sang-il, Branch Manager of Incheon Branch (Professor, Department of Law, Incheon National University) will assist fundraising and relief activities in each region on a voluntary basis.

The newly opened Gyeonggi Northern Branch will promote and expand disaster prevention and preparedness activities that align with the environmental and social characteristics of the Gyeonggi region.

Kim Jeong-hee, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "The establishment of branches nationwide is progressing smoothly," adding, "Following the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam branch early next month, the establishment of branches in Gyeonggi Southern, Chungcheong, and Gangwon will be completed, covering eight regions nationwide."

Hope Bridge is a purely private organization established through the collaboration of newspapers, broadcasters, and social organizations, and is the only legally authorized relief organization in Korea that can provide disaster relief funds for natural disaster victims. It has received the highest rating for five consecutive years in transparency and financial stability evaluations conducted by Korea Guide Star, a public interest corporation evaluation agency, ensuring transparent distribution and execution of public donations.
