"Commemorative Snap of the 7 Major Space Powers" Nuriho's 'Space Selfie'

Space Footage Directly Filmed by Nuriho

The 'space selfie video' taken by Nuriho itself has been released, attracting attention.

On the 25th at 6:24 PM, Nuriho, carrying satellites, was launched from Naro Space Center in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do.

In the video captured by Nuriho itself that day, scenes of the rocket separating and placing the satellites were recorded.

Two minutes after launch, Nuriho successfully separated the fairing, which protects the satellites, and the first and second stage rockets.

Thirteen minutes after launch, having reached an altitude of 550 km, Nuriho succeeded in sequentially placing eight satellites into orbit, its most important mission.

Afterwards, Nuriho turned its body to avoid colliding with the satellites, and at that moment, the camera captured the blue Earth, moving many people.

By successfully completing the flight in about 18 minutes, South Korea became the seventh country in the world to develop a space launch vehicle capable of carrying satellites weighing over 1 ton.

Meanwhile, among the satellites placed by Nuriho, the Next-generation Small Satellite 2 will orbit the Earth 15 times a day to monitor changes in the Earth's environment and help prepare for climate change.

Also, the satellite from Kairospace will experiment with a function to bring satellites still orbiting after completing their missions into the atmosphere to burn them up.

The Ministry of Science and ICT is scheduled to announce the communication results with other satellites, including whether two-way communication with the Next-generation Small Satellite 2 was successful, at 11 AM today.
