A woman in her 20s from Mexico has attracted attention by revealing how she reduced her waist size from 15 inches to 11.8 inches through wearing a corset. It is known that she has been wearing a corset for a long time due to a rare ligament and joint-related disease.

According to the New York Post on the 24th (local time), Ruth Luzan (26), a Mexican woman, recently shared on her TikTok account how she reduced her waist size to 11.8 inches. Luzan’s actual waist size is 15 inches, and through the photos and videos she posted, it can be seen that she wears a corset, making her waist look as slim as an ant’s waist.

Having previously worked as a ballerina, Luzan was advised by her coach to get a medical examination after noticing issues with her movements. Medical staff diagnosed her with "Joint Hypermobility Syndrome" after examining her condition. Joint Hypermobility Syndrome is a rare disease where the ligaments supporting the joints abnormally stretch.

This syndrome causes symptoms such as muscle and joint fatigue, pain, and stiffness.

Luzan said, "I was very shocked when I first received the diagnosis," and added, "It was so sad to realize I could never dance ballet again." Medical professionals recommended that Luzan try wearing a corset to protect her muscles and ligaments and alleviate symptoms, and after some consideration, she began wearing a corset along with underwear under her clothes.

The corset actually helped her maintain proper posture and relieve symptoms. Luzan explained that she also regained confidence after wearing the corset. She said, "I gained strength from the fact that I can shape my body the way I want," and added, "I am proud of how I look."

Luzan is currently active as an influencer with over one million followers on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
