On the 26th, Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced that it will hold a 'Love Sharing Bazaar' for its employees and residents of Dongdaemun-gu at the headquarters in Yongdu-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, starting at 9:30 a.m. on the 1st of next month.
The Love Sharing Bazaar is a charity event that Dong-A Pharmaceutical has been conducting annually since 2009 to promote a culture of donation and contribute to the development of the local community. It was temporarily postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 social distancing measures after the 2019 event but will resume after four years.
At the bazaar, Dong-A Pharmaceutical will sell its own products as well as Dong-A Otsuka products to local residents at affordable prices. The proceeds will be donated to the Dongdaemun-gu Social Welfare Council, which will use the funds to support low-income and marginalized groups in Dongdaemun-gu.
The Love Sharing Bazaar, which runs until 3 p.m. on the day of the event, will feature a volunteer group composed of employees from Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST, and Dong-A Pharmaceutical selling a variety of products including Dong-A Pharmaceutical health functional foods, oral care products, daily necessities, derma cosmetics, and Dong-A Otsuka beverages. As part of the Love Sharing Bazaar, an online auction will also be held for Dong-A Socio Group employees. Items donated by the presidents of the 13 group companies of Dong-A Socio Group will be auctioned at one-tenth of their price, and all proceeds from the successful bids will be fully donated as contributions to the Love Sharing Bazaar.
A Dong-A Pharmaceutical official said, "We hope many local residents will come and enjoy the Love Sharing Bazaar, which is being held for the first time in a long while since COVID-19." He added, "Dong-A Socio Group will continue to carry out various social contribution activities for neighbors in need and the development of the local community."
