Gyeonggi Office of Education to Complete Electronic Tag Inventory Management System by Next Year

Gyeonggi Office of Education to Complete Electronic Tag Inventory Management System by Next Year Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is expanding the establishment of an RFID-based inventory management system.

The RFID-based inventory management system was introduced in 2021 to resolve the difficulties of the existing process, which required manually cross-checking the inventory and asset registers of all institutions and separately entering item information into the 'K-Edufine Integrated Asset Management System.'

Gyeonggi Office of Education is implementing this project for a total of 921 institutions, including 751 elementary schools, 169 high schools, and the headquarters, this year. Upon completion, 75% of all institutions in the province will have established the RFID-based inventory management system.

The Gyeonggi Office of Education provides differential support ranging from 9 million to 16 million KRW depending on the number of items held by each institution.

In particular, this year, to reduce the workload at schools and to manage inventory accurately and efficiently, the contracted company is required to create a photo register of all items in the inventory during the service task execution.

Additionally, during the warranty period, the company is required to visit schools at least once quarterly or semi-annually to actively support tasks such as checking RFID equipment and conducting physical inventory surveys.

The Gyeonggi Office of Education plans to distribute the RFID-based inventory management system to all institutions by next year.
