Kian84 and 'Galaxy84' Present Art Cake
Inspired by Kian84's Painting to be Exhibited at Hotel Next Month
Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, operated by Parnas Hotel, announced on the 25th the launch of the 'Galaxy84' art cake in collaboration with Kian84, a webtoon artist who is gaining attention as a pop art painter.
The Galaxy84 cake can be purchased through Naver reservations from today until July 31. Starting from the 1st of next month, a limited quantity will also be available for on-site purchase at the 'Grand Deli' on the first floor of InterContinental Parnas.
As part of the 'True Luxury with Art' exhibition project, InterContinental Parnas incorporated the motif of Kian84's painting, which will be displayed in the hotel lobby on the first floor from June, into the art cake. The cake features the concept of 'universe,' which runs through Kian84's popular series 'Self-Portrait of Desire,' expressing the twinkling of stars through glazing techniques. Three planets?Earth, Saturn, and Mars?are represented using chocolate from the French premium chocolate brand 'Valrhona.' The base is a chocolate mousse with added coffee and hazelnut flavors, finished with lemon cream.
A separate packaging box featuring Kian84's representative painting and the artist's signature was also produced. All customers who purchase the cake will receive a set of four art postcards featuring Kian84's painting series and an art poster. The first 20 customers who make a reservation in advance will be given a reusable cup signed by Kian84.
