Hyundai Motor Group will showcase carbon-neutral future mobility and new hydrogen fuel cell technologies at the international expo on climate and energy held in Busan, the candidate city for the 2030 World Expo.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 25th that it will participate in the '2023 World Climate Industry Expo (WCE 2023)' held at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
Hyundai Motor Group has prepared a large exhibition hall of 828㎡, the largest among participating exhibitors, in the Future Mobility Hall inside Exhibition Hall 1 at BEXCO. The group will display various future mobility and hydrogen fuel cell new technologies, including ▲the flagship electrified sports utility vehicle (SUV) EV9, ▲hydrogen electric water truck, ▲hydrogen fuel cell multicopter drone, ▲hydrogen fuel cell-based 'M.Vision 2GO', ▲hydrogen-based carbon-neutral steelmaking process model, ▲hydrogen fuel cell separator plate, and ▲hydrogen electric tram model.
First, Hyundai Motor Group placed Kia’s flagship electrified SUV EV9, which was unveiled worldwide for the first time at the Seoul Mobility Show last March, at the front of the exhibition hall. This is to allow visitors to experience the advanced eco-friendly new technologies and new materials applied to the EV9.
The urban delivery mobility concept car 'M.Vision 2GO' and the special luggage transport mobility concept car 'M.Vision Tug Car', each equipped with a 30kW hydrogen fuel cell powerpack independently developed by Hyundai Mobis, will also be exhibited.
M.Vision 2GO is an eco-friendly urban delivery mobility featuring an 'e-corner module' that enables it to move freely even in narrow spaces. M.Vision Tug Car is optimized for cargo transport by enhancing expandability through connecting a wheeled cargo carrying platform called a 'Dolly' at the rear.
Hyundai Steel’s hydrogen-based carbon-neutral steelmaking process model and hydrogen fuel cell separator plate, as well as Hyundai Rotem’s hydrogen electric tram model, will also be exhibited, presenting the group’s concrete vision toward carbon neutrality.
Through this expo, Hyundai Motor Group plans to build networks with various stakeholders including global companies and institutions in the climate and energy sectors, academia, and local governments, and share its future vision for carbon neutrality and climate crisis response. In particular, Hyundai Motor Group expects this to be a good opportunity to showcase the capabilities of Busan, which is promoting the hosting of the 2030 carbon-neutral World Expo, and Korean companies in hosting expos in advance.
