Large-Scale Investment Companies Attend, Expecting Leasing Success
Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that it held an on-site meeting at the Gyeongnam Aviation National Industrial Complex (Jinju District), inviting companies that have signed investment agreements and those interested in investing in the aviation industrial complex to explain the progress of the industrial complex development and sales plans.
The on-site meeting was attended by Jinju City, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and 10 companies interested in investing within the Gyeongnam Aviation National Industrial Complex (Jinju District).
A field meeting with investment companies is being held at the Gyeongnam Aviation National Industrial Complex (Jinju District).
The Gyeongnam Aviation National Industrial Complex (Jinju District) is a key location promoted to build infrastructure for the aerospace industry and strengthen the competitiveness of advanced industries. Since last December, when it was designated as a satellite-specialized zone for the space industry cluster by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the space environment testing facility construction project began in earnest, expectations have been rising for the establishment of major government infrastructure related to aerospace.
In April, the city signed a large-scale investment agreement worth 100 billion KRW with six companies, including those from the metropolitan area, alleviating concerns about industrial complex sales amid the economic downturn. It is expected that interest and investment from many companies will continue to expand in the future.
A city official stated, “The Gyeongnam Aviation National Industrial Complex (Jinju District) currently has a construction progress rate of 71% and plans to begin sales in the second half of this year. We will continue to develop corporate attraction strategies to secure the concentration of new growth engine industries related to aerospace and parts materials and to provide the optimal investment environment for companies.”
