The Korean Society of Management Information Systems will hold the 2023 Spring Integrated Academic Conference at Jeju National University from June 8 to 10, under the theme "The Role of Management Information Systems for the Success of Digital Platforms."
This conference is jointly hosted by five related societies: the Korean Society of Management Information Systems, the Korean Big Data Society, the Korean Society of Internet Electronic Commerce, the Korean Information Systems Society, and the Korean Knowledge Management Society. More than 200 papers will be presented from universities, companies, research institutes, and public institutions.
Special lectures related to digital platforms will also be held. Sessions include ▲ ChatGPT by Ha Jung-woo, Center Head of Naver Clova ▲ DID by Lim Do-hyun, Director of Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation ▲ Artificial Intelligence by Yoon Joon-tae, Director of Vibe Company ▲ Metaverse by Choi Baek-joon, CEO of Tilon ▲ PropTech by Professor Kwon Dae-jung of Myongji University ▲ Big Data Platform sessions by Statistics Korea, Jeju Tourism Organization, and Busan Tourism Organization.
Kim Jong-won, President of the Korean Society of Management Information Systems and Professor of Management Information Systems at Dong-Eui University, explained, "Digital platforms, along with new technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing, are accelerating digital transformation across the economy and society."
He added, "This academic conference will serve as a forum to discuss the management information systems understanding and technologies necessary for the success of digital platforms, as well as measures to enhance public benefits following the spread of these platforms."
