Korea Expressway Corporation announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with the Busan Museum to successfully hold a promotional exchange exhibition on the history of the Gyeongbu Expressway.

The two organizations will hold a special exhibition titled "Gyeongbu Expressway, Heading to Busan" at the Busan Museum from October 11 to December 3. The exhibition plans to highlight the significance and importance of the Gyeongbu Expressway, its social and economic ripple effects, and its historical value.
The Gyeongbu Expressway was fully opened on July 7, 1970, playing a major role in South Korea's rapid economic growth known as the "Miracle on the Han River." In particular, it contributed to improving the quality of life for citizens by promoting national balanced development through daily life zones nationwide and fostering leisure culture.
For this special exhibition, Korea Expressway Corporation will provide over 180 construction drawings, commemorative materials, photos, and video materials from the time of the Gyeongbu Expressway's construction, while the Busan Museum will handle administrative tasks such as organizing the exhibition and publishing the catalog. They will also cooperate in mutual promotion to ensure the successful hosting of the event.
A representative from the Expressway Corporation said, "This exhibition is expected to be a great opportunity not only to reflect on the significance and historical value of the Gyeongbu Expressway's construction but also to promote the Korea Expressway Corporation as 'an organization that opens roads to connect people and culture and expands new worlds.'"
