Yeongyang-gun, Yangsu Hydroelectric Power Plant Countywide Promotion Committee, Subi-myeon Resolution Rally Held

The "Countywide Citizens' Committee for Attracting the Pumped Storage Power Plant to Yeongyang County (Standing Chairman Yang Bong-cheol)" (hereinafter referred to as the Countywide Citizens' Committee) held the "Subi-myeon Resolution Rally for Attracting the Pumped Storage Power Plant" on the 24th.

The Yeongyang County Pan-Citizen Hosting Committee held a resolution rally for defense.

The resolution rally was successfully held at the Subi-myeon Multipurpose Gymnasium, attended by Yang Bong-cheol, Standing Co-Chairman of the Committee, Park Jun-ro, Deputy Governor of Yeongyang, Park Hong-yeol, Provincial Assembly Member, standing co-chairmen of towns, townships, and organizations, joint chairmen of towns and townships, executive committee working members, and about 300 residents of Subi-myeon.

At today's event, following the reading of the "Countywide Resolution Rally Appeal," the "Resolution of the Countywide Citizens' Committee for Attracting the Pumped Storage Power Plant to Yeongyang County" was jointly proclaimed by the standing chairmen and attending residents.

To attract the pumped storage power plant, the Countywide Citizens' Committee for Attracting the Pumped Storage Power Plant to Yeongyang County, composed of nine major private social organizations including town and township committees, the Senior Citizens' Association, the Sports Association, and the Village Leaders' Association, began holding resolution rallies sequentially starting from Ipam-myeon on the 3rd, followed by Yeongyang-eup, Seokbo-myeon, Ilwol-myeon, and Cheonggi-myeon, gradually accelerating activities to attract the pumped storage power plant.

On May 11, coinciding with the opening day of the Yeongyang Wild Vegetable Festival, the countywide resolution rally helped spread enthusiasm for attracting the pumped storage power plant throughout Yeongyang.

Standing Chairman Yang Bong-cheol said, "With the conclusion of the Subi-myeon resolution rally, we have held resolution rallies in all six towns and townships, providing an opportunity for the residents to see the earnest desire to attract the pumped storage power plant and the united spirit of Yeongyang," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that the attraction of the pumped storage power plant, the largest national project in Yeongyang, is successfully achieved."
