Vice President Song Jae-ho of KT Appointed as President of Korea Digital Health Industry Association

KT announced on the 24th that Song Jae-ho, Head of KT AI/DX Convergence Business Division (Vice President), has been inaugurated as the new president of the Korea Digital Health Industry Association (KoDHIA).

KoDHIA held an extraordinary general meeting by written resolution on the 15th and appointed Song Jae-ho, Vice President of KT, as the 3rd president.

The newly appointed president Song currently serves as the Head of KT's AI/DX Convergence Business Division and Chief Digital Innovation Officer. He has held key positions at KT, including Head of Future Industry Development Team, Head of Integrated Security Business Team, and Head of Media Platform Business Division. Since 2016, when he was the Head of KT's Future Business Development Team, he has been in charge of healthcare business, and is recognized for his excellent understanding and insight through planning and developing various healthcare projects.

KoDHIA plans to actively respond to the government's Bioeconomy 2.0 initiative and the core industry of digital healthcare in the new industrial transformation business this year. To this end, it is conducting continuous surveys on the digital healthcare industry status, developing data-based technologies, fostering talent, establishing an industrial ecosystem foundation, and carrying out various projects such as online and offline matching between demand and supply companies to support market entry of enterprises.

Song Jae-ho, the new president of KoDHIA, stated, “Considering the strategic value and growth potential of the digital healthcare industry in the national industry, as well as the inevitable social service ripple effects, it is time to accelerate industrial promotion.” He added, “We will actively cooperate with association member companies to enhance the competitiveness of the digital healthcare industry and expand the market.”
