Woongjin ThinkBig Signs Export Contract for 'ARpedia' in Greater China with Studio A

Woongjin ThinkBig Signs Export Contract for 'ARpedia' in Greater China with Studio A Lee Jae-jin, CEO of Woongjin ThinkBig (left), and Jeffrey Cheng, CEO of StudioA, attended the "ARpedia Greater China Export Contract Ceremony" on the 23rd.

Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 24th that it has signed an export and distribution cooperation agreement for its augmented reality (AR) reading solution ARpedia with Studio A, a reseller company affiliated with Taiwan's Foxconn Group, targeting the Greater China region (Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau).

ARpedia is Woongjin ThinkBig's flagship global target product, having won the CES Innovation Award for two consecutive years. It is a next-generation learning solution that provides users with a three-dimensional reading experience by implementing characters and illustrations from books using augmented reality technology.

Starting with this contract, Studio A will distribute ARpedia in the Greater China region, including Taiwan?a key hub where it has already supplied educational devices to over 4,000 schools?as well as China, Hong Kong, and Macau. The strategy is to first supply the product to public education sites such as schools and learning centers in these areas, and later expand business through B2C (business-to-consumer) channels like device shops.

Woongjin ThinkBig plans to accelerate the global expansion of ARpedia based on this export contract. While entering the Greater China market steadily, it aims to expand sales channels mainly in Asian regions with large student populations and high educational enthusiasm, such as Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and India.

Lee Jae-jin, CEO of Woongjin ThinkBig, stated, “ARpedia, which has proven excellent learning effects through various global awards, has begun to achieve visible results by gaining recognition for its marketability in overseas education markets. Starting with the Greater China region where Studio A has established a solid network, the global market expansion of ARpedia will be in full swing.”
