'Battery Ajeossi' Declares Suspension of Activities: "Being Ungrateful and Irresponsible"

"Financial Supervisory Service Resigns Alleging External Pressure from Korea Exchange"
"Others Enjoy Benefits While I Face Persecution Only"

Park Soon-hyuk, known as the so-called 'Battery Ajusshi' who encouraged the purchase of domestic secondary battery stocks and formerly served as the PR director of Geumyang, has announced the suspension of his activities.

'Battery Ajeossi' Declares Suspension of Activities: "Being Ungrateful and Irresponsible" Park Soon-hyuk, former Public Relations Director of Geumyang

On the 22nd, the YouTube channel 'Seo Jeong-deok TV' posted a video titled "I want to put down this heavy burden," stating that it would convey Park's position and claims as they were sent.

According to the video, Park claimed that not only individual investors and Geumyang but also battery-related listed companies benefited from his activities, yet he alone suffered damages, losing his job and feeling threats to his personal safety.

Through the channel, Park said, "Since becoming the PR director of Geumyang in January last year, under the motto of 'Truth, Sincerity, and Earnestness,' I have devoted myself wholeheartedly to properly informing the public about the true nature of K Battery," adding, "While viewers enjoy the broadcast for free and have fun, spending holidays with their families, I often stayed late at a local study cafe on holiday nights preparing broadcast materials."

He stated, "Many individual investors opened their eyes to the excellence of K Battery thanks to 'Battery Ajusshi' and made a lot of money," and added, "Are you not mistakenly thinking that writing a few words like 'Battery Ajusshi, we support you, love you, thank you' in YouTube comments means you have done your part?"

Regarding Geumyang, where he was employed, he said, "The market capitalization of Geumyang, which was only 200 billion won in January last year, has now increased sixteenfold to 3.2 trillion won," and claimed, "Geumyang, unable to withstand external pressure from the Financial Supervisory Service and the Korea Exchange, urged 'Battery Ajusshi' to resign."

He further alleged, "Two days after my resignation, on the 17th, an executive at Geumyang pressured me, saying, 'If you continue to provoke the exchange, Geumyang will be in trouble, so if you want the 20,000 shares allocated as RSUs (Restricted Stock Units), please restrain yourself.'"

Park explained that individual investors made money through stock investments thanks to him, Geumyang's stock price increased sixteenfold, and the investment boom in battery companies led to stock price rises that helped companies expand facilities and explore overseas markets. However, when he faced difficulties, no one came to help him.

Park said, "I am proud that I have contributed greatly to the future of the Republic of Korea," but added, "However, in a reality where others enjoy all the benefits and only persecution is directed at me, I want to stop my activities as 'Battery Ajusshi.'"

He also said, "It is truly the height of selfishness that they take all the benefits and expect 'Battery Ajusshi' to bear all the harm alone," and added, "So now 'Battery Ajusshi' will disappear. Amid your cowardice and irresponsibility, I will vanish forever into the annals of history."

Meanwhile, Park was formerly an analyst in Yeouido and served as PR director at Geumyang. Recently, he actively continued his activities through YouTube, recommending secondary battery-related stocks, earning nicknames such as 'K Battery Evangelist' and 'Battery Ajusshi' from individual investors who made money from the stocks he recommended.
