Holding the Mid-term Report Meeting for Urban Brand Development Service
The development of a new city brand for Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, is progressing smoothly and has passed the halfway mark.
On the 24th, the city announced that it held a mid-term report meeting on the city brand development project at the situation room on the 5th floor of the city hall, attended by Mayor Cho Gyu-il and senior officials.
IM Communication, the agency in charge of the project, reported at this meeting on the progress made so far, including the development of the new brand naming and brand design, as well as the remaining schedule until the production of the final deliverables.
Reviewing the progress so far, Jinju-si started the city brand development project in January, and in February conducted an online survey over two weeks targeting about 1,400 people to broadly gauge public opinion.
Although the sample size was not large, the survey results allowed an understanding of the image citizens have of Jinju-si, which helped determine the direction for developing the new brand, explained a representative from the agency.
Mayor Cho urged the agency, saying, “Please make efforts so that the brand symbolically reflects the values pursued by Jinju-si and the vision of a prosperous Jinju in the future.”
A city official stated, “After this project is completed and the final candidates are decided, we plan to conduct surveys targeting Jinju citizens to finalize the new brand of Jinju-si.”
