Sacheon-si Operates Healing Program for Civil Petition and Permit Officers

Relieving Public Servant Stress ... Improving the Quality of Public Services

On the 23rd, Sacheon City in Gyeongnam conducted a 'Healing Program for Civil Petition and Permit Officers' at the local leisure facility, Arte Resort, targeting over 30 civil petition and permit officers suffering from work stress and heavy workloads.


This healing program was organized to relieve the stress of officers exhausted by the recent increase in verbal abuse and assault complaints, and to ultimately improve the quality of public service through training on civil petition response.

On that day, an instructor from a specialized educational institution based in Seoul was invited to conduct the program under the themes of and .


In particular, the ‘Movie Viewing’ session, introduced for the first time this year, received positive feedback from participants as it provided a break from daily life, fostering new motivation and bonding.


In March, the city purchased 36 wearable camcorders with recording and filming functions and distributed them to each eup, myeon, dong, and civil petition-related departments as a special measure to prevent violent complaints.


Mayor Park expressed, “I appreciate the hard work of the civil petition and permit officers who are at the forefront of public administration, and I hope this healing program provides an opportunity for recharging.”


He added, “We will continue to strive to ensure that employees can work in a safe environment free from illegal petitioners.”
