Wando-gun Wins 'Best Award' at Jeonnam Regional Taxation Workshop

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, won the top prize in the local non-tax revenue category at the '2023 Jeollanam-do Local Taxation Workshop.'

According to the county on the 22nd, the Local Taxation Workshop was held from the 17th to the 19th at the Suncheon Bay Ecological and Cultural Education Center, with over 400 Jeollanam-do tax officials participating. The event featured presentations on research topics related to expanding local revenue and developing local taxation.

Wando-gun presented on its key project, the 'Marine Healing Industry,' explaining what the marine healing industry is, how it is being promoted, and its impact on the county's development. This presentation was selected as the best in the local non-tax revenue category. Wando-gun is scheduled to participate as Jeonnam's representative in the local finance awards in the non-tax revenue category.

Kim Hee-su, head of the Tax Accounting Division, stated, "We will continuously hold workshops to enhance the expertise of local tax officials and explore various ways to discover new tax sources."

Meanwhile, on the day of the event, county tax officials promoted the marine healing industry by distributing pamphlets and souvenirs to workshop participants.
