Park Ji-won: "Yoon's US-Japan Bias is Killing the Economy... Lee Jae-myung Should Engage with China and Russia"

Former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won raised his voice, saying that our economy is dying due to President Yoon Seok-yeol's 'pro-US-Japan biased diplomacy,' and that Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, should engage with China and Russia through parliamentary diplomacy.

On the 22nd, Park Ji-won said through his social media (SNS), "Representative Lee, for the national interest, even as the majority party in the National Assembly, the Democratic Party should activate parliamentary diplomacy and contact China and Russia."

Park added, "Our economy is dying due to President Yoon's diplomatic failures. If our economy is dying because of pro-US-Japan biased diplomacy, the Democratic Party must step up for balanced diplomacy," and emphasized, "The Democratic Party should also engage in diplomacy with China and Russia from the perspective of national interest."

He also highlighted that while the US and China are in conflict, their trade volume is at an all-time high, whereas we are only suffering losses in diplomacy with China and Russia. He cited reports such as "Despite the tension over US-China conflicts and the Taiwan issue, last year's trade volume between the US and China was the highest ever. Chinese company CATL holds 37% of the global battery market, yet it surpassed SK On to build a joint factory with US Ford, and US Secretary of State Blinken is also reported to visit China soon," contrasting these with article titles like ▲China, 'Don't buy Samsung products' ▲Russia, 'Effectively rejects Hyundai Motor's plant sale.'

He said, "Samsung Electronics' first-quarter sales in China hit a record low of 5.65 trillion won, and Galaxy phone sales are at 0%, with withdrawal being considered," adding, "In Russia, Toyota, Nissan, Renault, and Volkswagen have withdrawn, but the sale of Hyundai's local plant has been effectively rejected. Mr. President, this is not the time for this."
