On the 22nd, Sahmyook University announced that it has established the student-customized academic support system 'SPACE System,' which centers on the flexible semester system, intensive semester system, and SU-Innovation Day.
First, the newly introduced flexible semester system 'SU-PACE' adds an 8-week academic course during the vacation period to the current 15-week academic semester.
The intensive semester system 'SPACE 6.0' operates by changing the existing four-semester system per year (including seasonal semesters) to a six-semester system. It divides the current 15-week semester into the first and second halves and adds summer and winter seasonal semesters, allowing adjustment to a total of six semesters.
'SPACE 4.1 (SU-Innovation Day)' designates every Wednesday as 'SU-Innovation Day (Su-day)' to activate creative convergence education, operating activity days such as major practice and major-related volunteer work, entrepreneurship education, and micro-majors.
Lee Byung-hee, Director of Planning and Head of the University Innovation Support Project Group at Sahmyook University, said, "Students will be able to actively strengthen their capabilities and cultivate convergent thinking by utilizing various academic systems."
