Jeonnam International Agriculture Expo to be Held as a Business Industry Expo This Year

The Jeonnam International Agriculture Expo Secretariat and the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency have joined hands to successfully host the 2023 International Agriculture Expo and promote the development of the regional agricultural industry.

According to the province on the 21st, the '2023 International Agriculture Expo Joint Hosting Business Agreement Ceremony' was attended by about 10 people, including Park Hong-jae (Director of Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services), CEO of Jeonnam International Agriculture Expo, and Gu Bon-geun, Vice President of the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency. The attendees pledged to successfully hold the 2023 International Agriculture Expo as a business industry expo.

According to the agreement, the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency will participate as a co-hosting organization for the 6th International Agriculture Expo this year to support market expansion and investment attraction for agricultural companies. It will promote research and development support projects to strengthen the technological capabilities of Jeonnam agricultural companies, discover private companies with excellent technology, and cooperate in the transfer of national technologies. It will also be responsible for organizing its own product evaluation events to support market expansion for agricultural companies.

This is the first time that the Jeonnam International Agriculture Expo Foundation has partnered with the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency for the 2023 International Agriculture Expo. Going forward, they plan to establish an organic cooperative work system to promote the development of the agricultural industry in the Jeonnam region and smoothly carry out cooperative projects.

CEO Park Hong-jae said, "We have high expectations for expanding market channels for agricultural companies and discovering excellent local technology companies by utilizing the technology, information, and infrastructure of the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency," adding, "We will do our best to successfully host the expo as a business industry expo."

The 2023 International Agriculture Expo, under the theme "Agriculture Changes the World," will be held for 11 days from October 12 to 22 at the Jeollanam-do Office of Education Suncheon Bay Ecological and Cultural Education Center area.
