[Tomorrow's Weather] Hazy Sky Due to Fine Dust... Beware of Hwangsa

On Monday the 22nd, the whole country will be mostly cloudy with high fine dust concentrations due to yellow dust.

The yellow dust originating from the Gobi Desert and the Inner Mongolian Plateau is currently being observed in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province. It is expected to gradually affect most regions nationwide.

Because of this, fine dust concentrations will be 'very bad' in the Honam region, 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, Yeongnam region, and Jeju region, and 'normal' in other areas.

On the 21st, when yellow dust originating from the Gobi Desert and the Inner Mongolian Plateau began to be observed domestically, the fine dust concentration showed a "very bad" level, and the streets of Seoul were covered with dust in the afternoon.

From morning to afternoon, raindrops less than 5mm are expected in Jeju Island, and less than 0.1mm in the southern coast of Jeollanam-do.

From late afternoon to night, showers around 5mm are forecast in eastern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, and northern inland Gyeongbuk.

In areas with showers, gusts of wind along with thunder and lightning may occur, so caution is needed in managing facilities.

The morning low temperature will be between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high will be between 19 and 27 degrees Celsius, somewhat cooler than today (morning low 12?22 degrees, daytime high 17?30 degrees).

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters.

Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea.
