The inauguration ceremony for the 5th term of the Gyeongnam 100 Dads Group was held on the 20th at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO).
According to Gyeongnam Province, the "Gyeongnam 100 Dads Group" is a program where 100 novice dads raising children aged 3 to 7 residing in the province come together to share parenting experiences and concerns, and learn parenting methods through various tasks. It is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Gyeongsangnam-do, and the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association.
The dads perform weekly missions from May in areas such as play, education, health, daily life, and relationships directly with their children through the official dads community, and also participate in offline activities such as parenting mentoring, expert lectures, and experiential programs.

The inauguration ceremony began with congratulatory remarks from Ahn Taemyeong, Director of the Balanced Development Bureau of the province, and Jo Woosung, President of the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association.
Following this, there was a presentation of appointment certificates to the dads group members, an explanation of the activity plans, and a reading of the representative dad’s declaration. After the ceremony, a magic, mime, and juggling performance was held.
One member said, “I usually had many concerns and difficulties raising my child, but now that I am participating as a member of the 5th term, I feel really excited about the upcoming activities after receiving the appointment certificate and reading the declaration together, and I want to participate actively.”
Director Ahn of the Balanced Development Bureau said, “The role of dads is very important in the growth and development of children,” and added, “We celebrate the start of the 5th term of the 100 Dads Group, and the province will actively work to spread a positive perception of childbirth and parenting by encouraging more dads to spend time with their children at home.”
