Andong Convergence Association for Small and Medium Enterprises Donates 4.2 Million Won in Relief Funds for Syria and Turkey Earthquake Victims

The Andong Convergence Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) donated 4.2 million KRW as relief funds to help the victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake that occurred last February. The donation was made at the Andong Mayor's Office, with Chairman Seo Jeong-seung and executive members in attendance.

The Andong Convergence Association of SMEs is a gathering of local business representatives established in 2007 to exchange human and material resources across different industries and share knowledge and corporate information to grow into more competitive companies. Currently, it has 94 member companies.

Sympathizing with the tragic situation of the Turkey-Syria earthquake victims who lost their homes, the 4.2 million KRW collected by the member companies of the Andong Convergence Association will be used for the earthquake victims through the Korean Red Cross Gyeongbuk Branch.

Seo Jeong-seung, Chairman of the Andong Convergence Association of SMEs, said, “I hope that the donation prepared to help the Turkey-Syria earthquake victims who are going through hardships will be a small support and deliver precious hope to those enduring difficult times.”

Mayor Kwon Ki-chang stated, “The warmth of the Andong Convergence Association of SMEs will be a great strength to the Turkey-Syria earthquake victims suffering from the disaster, and I pray for a swift recovery so they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
