Bilateral Talks with 6 Countries Including Vietnam, Australia, India, Indonesia, and the UK
President Yoon Suk-yeol will hold a summit meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio in Hiroshima, Japan, on the 21st, the presidential office announced on the 18th.
This meeting was arranged in conjunction with President Yoon's attendance at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Hiroshima.
According to the agreement reached at the Korea-Japan summit in Seoul on the 7th, the two leaders will also jointly visit the memorial monument for Korean atomic bomb victims in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park during the visit to Japan.
In addition, as of 5 p.m. on the same day, the presidential office stated that President Yoon will hold bilateral summit meetings with a total of six countries in Hiroshima, including Vietnam, Australia, India, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom.
On the first day of his arrival in Hiroshima, the 19th, President Yoon will hold separate summit meetings with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
On the second day of the visit, the 20th, President Yoon will also conduct bilateral meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
However, due to the G7 summit schedule, there is a possibility that additional bilateral meetings may be added or existing ones canceled. The presidential office stated, "Due to the nature of multilateral meetings, even confirmed bilateral schedules may be suddenly adjusted."
