The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 18th that it is recruiting small business owners to participate in the online seller training program through a public-private collaboration with Kakao.
The online seller training program is an educational course designed to strengthen the capabilities of small business owners with high growth potential. From June to December this year, step-by-step training (basic → advanced → practical) and growth vouchers will be provided to small business owners operating on online commerce platforms.
120 participants will be selected from those listed on KakaoTalk Shopping. Selected companies will receive excellent e-commerce education and support for live commerce planning and operation provided by each platform company.
From the 24th, applications can be submitted by selecting the ‘Kakao Shopping Adding Value’ course on the Small Business Online Policy Support Platform ‘Sosangongin24 (sbiz.kr)’. Selected small business owners will undergo both face-to-face and non-face-to-face training and practice to grow into entrepreneurial online sellers.
After the ‘Basic Common Education’ which includes the basic curriculum and KakaoTalk Store sales strategy coaching, outstanding trainees from the basic stage will receive one-on-one coaching on product strategy and practical training on Talk Store marketing in the ‘Advanced and Practical Education’ phase.
All trainees start with the basic course and go through step-by-step missions and evaluations. Trainees who reach the final stage will be provided with the ‘Kakao Partners Live Practice Course’ curriculum and receive differentiated and abundant benefits such as support for platform entry linked to ‘KakaoTalk Gift·Makers’ through screening.
In particular, the Kakao Shopping ‘Adding Value’ course will feature MKYU’s CEO Kim Mi-kyung, a star instructor, who will support coaching throughout the practical course including commerce-specialized lectures.
The process includes recruiting trainees → evaluation and selection → step-by-step education and practice → trainee awards. In December this year, a ‘Performance Sharing Competition’ will be held for outstanding trainees who wish to share and present their achievements.
Applications for the course can be made through ‘Support Project Application’ within ‘Sosangongin24’.
Park Seong-hyo, Director of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, said, “This education was planned in line with the entrepreneurial small business development measures recently announced by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups,” adding, “We will actively support small business owners to maximize synergy through collaboration with excellent private companies, helping them achieve innovative growth and leap forward as online seller unicorn companies.”
