Receipt of Appointment Letter for Moon Won-jae, President of Korea National Sport University

Moon Won-jae, the 8th president of Korea National Sport University, received his appointment letter from Prime Minister Han Duck-soo at the vice ministerial-level appointment ceremony held at the Government Sejong Complex in Sejong Special Self-Governing City on the 17th.

President Moon Won-jae of Korea National Sport University was elected in the selection election for the 8th president candidate last December and began his term on the 17th of last month.

President Moon graduated from the Department of Physical Education at Korea National Sport University, earned a master's degree in physical education from Konkuk University, and a doctorate in physical education from Dankook University. He joined Korea National Sport University as a professor in 1996 and has served as the director of training and chairman of the university council.

As a national team coach, he led Taekwondo athletes Hwang Kyung-sun and Cha Dong-min to victory at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He currently serves as the chairman of the National Sports Comprehensive Competition Committee of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee.
