Handonghun: "Why is it my work that Kim Namguk got caught secretly trading coins?"

Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon responded to Rep. Kim Nam-guk's claim that the report on his coin-related allegations was a "Han Dong-hoon prosecution production," saying, "I'm really curious why they say it's my work when I was caught by financial authorities for secretly trading coins.

Before attending the plenary session of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee on the 16th, Minister Han met with reporters and said, "Rep. Kim keeps appearing on platforms like Kim Eo-jun's YouTube, claiming (the coin controversy) is my work. The Democratic Party has been blaming me or the prosecution for everything for quite some time now, and I think the public has gotten used to it."

Rep. Kim appeared on the YouTube show 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory: Humility is Difficult' the day before and said, "I suspect this issue was deliberately leaked to cover up the Yoon Seok-yeol administration's failures," and added, "I believe the initial article was written based on information obtained from state or investigative agencies."

He also claimed on Facebook that "leaking an individual's sensitive financial and investigative information to the media seems to be a 'Han Dong-hoon prosecution' production from the Yoon Seok-yeol faction."

Rep. Kim was also found to have traded coins during the standing committee sessions, for which he apologized, saying, "I apologize to many citizens, fellow lawmakers, and party members, and I am reflecting and repenting without any excuse."

Regarding this, Minister Han said, "No matter how much you try to find a connection, it seems that the only thing Rep. Kim asked me about was his coin trading," and added, "Claiming that this is my work seems a bit excessive."

On rumors of running in the general election, Minister Han stated, "I am trying my best with good intentions as Minister of Justice, but I still think I have a lot to improve. I will do my best to fulfill my duties as Minister of Justice."
