HMM, Credit Rating Upgraded to ‘A-’

Domestic Top 3 Credit Rating Agencies Upgrade

HMM announced on the 16th that it received a corporate credit rating of ‘A-’ (stable) from the three major domestic credit rating agencies.

NICE Credit Rating and Korea Ratings upgraded the company’s corporate credit rating from ‘BBB+’ to ‘A-’ based on the financial statements for the previous year. This upgrade came just five months after the rating was raised from ‘BBB’ to ‘BBB+’ in December last year. Strong business competitiveness and excellent financial resilience were cited as factors contributing to the credit rating increase.

Having received an ‘A-’ (stable) rating from Korea Investors Service in November last year, HMM now holds the same rating from all three major domestic credit rating agencies.
