A total of 375 participants from 124 teams will take part in this tournament. The competition categories include mobile games (KartRider, Omok) and PC games (StarCraft Remastered, League of Legends). Only Omok is an individual event, while the others are played by teams of 4 to 5 members.
The schedule includes preliminary rounds selecting 32 teams per category by the 23rd, followed by the main rounds selecting 2 teams per category by the 31st. The finals will be held in early next month and will be live-streamed on YouTube so that all employees can cheer together.
The total prize money is 4.2 million KRW, with winning teams in each category receiving 200,000 KRW per person, and runner-up teams receiving 100,000 KRW per person.
A Seven Eleven representative said, “This is an in-house festival-like event where headquarters and branch employees nationwide can interact and build camaraderie,” adding, “We plan to develop the e-sports tournament into a representative communication program and culture of Seven Eleven.”
