Ko Jin-young Advances to 2nd Place in Women's Golf Weekly World Rankings

On the 15th (local time), Ko Jin-young scored 8.38 points in the weekly women's golf world rankings, moving up from 3rd place last week to 2nd place. Ko Jin-young accumulated points by winning the Cognizant Founders Cup (total prize money of 3 million dollars) on the LPGA Tour, which concluded the day before at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, New Jersey, USA. This is her second win of the season and 15th career victory, coming two months after the HSBC Women's World Championship in March.
Nelly Korda (USA) held onto the unstable 1st place with 8.40 points. The difference between her and Ko Jin-young is only 0.02 points. Lydia Ko (New Zealand), who was 2nd last week, dropped to 3rd place. Lilia Vu (USA) is 4th, and Minjee Lee (Australia), the runner-up at the Founders Cup, is 5th. South Korea's Kim Hyo-joo is 10th, Jeon In-ji 12th, Choi Hye-jin 25th, and Park Min-ji 27th. Im Jin-hee, winner of the KLPGA Tour NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship, jumped 19 places to 84th.
