Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade, "Allegations of Illegal Support for WEMIX Are Groundless"

Wemade reiterated its position that the allegations of illegal support for WEMIX are groundless.

On the 15th, Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade, issued a statement saying, "The reports suggesting that Wemade illegally supported WEMIX to members of the National Assembly or provided internal investment-related information are completely untrue."

Recently, allegations of virtual asset lobbying in the gaming industry arose after it became known that Assemblyman Kim Nam-guk held WEMIX. The Korea Game Society issued a statement raising concerns about industry lobbying in the National Assembly and called for a full investigation. Subsequently, the law firm Gwangya filed a complaint with the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office against CEO Jang on behalf of 22 WEMIX investors, accusing him of fraud and fraudulent trading under the Capital Markets Act.

Wemade plans to respond strictly to the production and distribution of fake news and will take all civil and criminal measures.

CEO Jang added, "We apologize for causing concern to our shareholders who support Wemade and the WEMIX project, the WEMIX community and investors, and many others who have supported Wemade’s blockchain business."
