Ssangyong Information & Communications Reports Q1 Sales of 106.9 Billion KRW, Up 89% Year-on-Year

Ssangyong Information & Communications (CEO Shin Jang-ho), a subsidiary of ITCEN (CEO Park Jung-jae), announced on the 15th that its consolidated sales for the first quarter of this year increased by 89% year-on-year to 106.9 billion KRW, and operating profit turned positive to record 1.9 billion KRW.

Ssangyong Information & Communications continues to achieve significant growth this year following last year, driven by the continuous expansion of its DT (AI, CLOUD) business. The strong performance is mainly attributed to the substantial growth in the cloud business, which has secured and expanded cloud projects across various industries including public, finance, education, and enterprise sectors.

Ssangyong Information & Communications aims to maintain its positive performance trend by strengthening its capabilities in the high-growth advanced industries of AI and cloud, such as being selected for the AI Integrated Support Service Platform construction project conducted by the AI Industry Convergence Business Group. In April, it announced the opening of the ‘AI Integrated Support Service Platform’ developed by Ssangyong Information & Communications within the Gwangju AI Cluster.

A representative of Ssangyong Information & Communications stated, “Following last year’s record-high performance, we are continuing the positive business momentum by recording high sales even in the traditionally slow first quarter. We expect sales growth to be maximized as we were selected as a lottery consignment operator on the 28th of last month.”
